OUR SERVICES

We work along the interface between our English-speaking clients and the German construction market. Our job is to find answers and solutions to all challenges, problems and hurdles that come from planning construction projects in Germany.

The services we offer therefore cover a very broad spectrum of client needs, from clarifying legal and regulatory matters, to communicating with public authorities, researching into practices in Germany, as well as the coordination of processes with the checking structural engineer (Prüfstatiker) and the fire safety officer, right up to translating all drawings, documents and official forms associated with this.

For highly specialised cases, we have established a professional network of experts who we work closely with when required.

In addition to our main work on construction projects, we also offer these further localisation services:

translating and editing articles, academic texts, documents (BOQ, property contracts, brochures), books and articles in the areas of architecture, property development, real estate and construction

writing sustainability and annual reports as well as website content in English for German-based companies that operate globally

ABOUT US

L10nBau is a partnership between Elke Wunsch and Lindsay Jane Munro. We first worked together as the senior construction management team on a large, multi-year infrastructure project. We have been a team ever since. What we learned during that collaboration continues to drive our success today.

We founded L10nBau to take on projects where our unique combination of skills, experience and qualifications brings real added value. As localisation specialists, our German and Scottish backgrounds provide us with a vital understanding of the intercultural challenges faced by companies who do their business across borders. We are there to turn challenges into opportunities, and to turn borders into business gateways.

Our business ethos is defined by strong partnerships, a solution-oriented mindset, and a steadfast commitment to delivering the highest quality results. But just as important are human factors – mutual respect, appreciating the value of other people’s input, transparent communication and a passion for what we do.

Elke Wunsch

Elke Wunsch is a co-founder of L10nBau and brings technical expertise together with a sharp eye for design and structure. After twenty years as a self-employed furniture designer, she joined the Abraham engineering firm in 2017, where she took on the role of construction supervisor in 2019 for one of the company‘s largest infrastructure projects.

With qualifications as a site manager, safety and health coordinator (SiGeKo), and certified expert in building damage assessment, she possesses both hands-on experience and in-depth technical knowledge.

In July 2025, she co-founded L10nBau with Lindsay Jane Munro, driven by the belief that strong communication and technical understanding can build bridges between international project partners. Her work is defined by curiosity, precision, and a passion for finding clear solutions to complex challenges.
